I have a gorgeous B Bass in walnut with gold hardware, I am not really sold on the gold, it look a bit tatty. Also the threads have gone on the tuner knob so the detuner isn’t really doing its job.
I don’t need the drop lever as this bass will always be tuned a step down to D – G – C – F. I was thinking of putting a high mass black bridge on it, I’ll keep the gold one for provenance and put it back on of I ever sell it. But what do others prefer…gold or black?
