I am an player based in Scotland. I play piano accordion, 5 row C Griff, and free bass instruments. My first 120 bass accordion was a Hohner Pirola IVP which, although a ‘ladies’ model was perfect for me at 9 years old! I have owned a Hohner Morino VI N free bass accordion which was really too heavy and bulky. Currently, I have a Morino IV S in my collection. I’m interested in the history of Hohner and the influence they had on the accordion scene in the UK if anyone wants to discuss that.
