Hello, I bought a Hohner Rey del Vallenato accordion.
Is there any way to verify if it’s a genuine Hohner using the serial number?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Yair
If you post the serial number I’ll ask the accordion service department. However, as far as I know, the incidence of fake Hohner instruments is negligible. Why do you think it may not be genuine? Maybe post a photo,
cheers
Steve
Hi Steve Baker, thank you for your help and the information provided.
The serial number of my accordion is: 2345496.
I’ve asked the Accordion Service dept. and will let you know what they say.
The Service Department confirms this is a genuine Hohner Rey del Vallenato accordion. What led you to doubt the provenance?
Hi Steve Baker, thank you for your help and the information provided. I wanted to be sure about my purchase since it’s the first time I’ve owned this instrument and because I live in Colombia where you see a lot of things (modifications, counterfeits).
Understand, I guess that if imitations of branded products are common, then it’s natural to check the provenance. But in this case you seem to have gotten what you paid for ![]()
