I just received a Hohner Super Chromonica Deluxe, Key of C. The images of the harmonica on the seller’s site had chrome or stainless steel cover plates. Mine are gold tone. I’ve looked around and don’t see any discussion.
Can anyone explain this? Thanks!
jaya, the standard 270 chromonica also came in a Gold version, so you probably have these cover plates. I don’t think its in production any more, although parts are available (or at least shown on the Hohner C-shop site).

Seriously, the series Super Chromonica Deluxe is fitted with stainless steel covers, as shown in the online catalogue. The regular Super Chromonica is however available in a version with gold plated covers, possibly you were sent that by mistake. Can you post a photo?
Yes. I contacted the vendor and they admitted the error. I’m not sure why, but I kept it.
