Doesn’t seem like that’s a Hohner model number. Pictures of the guitar including label would help.
I don’t recognise the model number but I suspect it’s HG-651. It was made by Framus in West Germany for Hohner/Contessa, probably in the late 60s or early 70s. Framus made a number of guitars for Hohner and the model numbers are usually HG-6xx. This looks like a version of the Framus Dixon (or sometimes just Dix) guitar which was a folk/western model.
Thanks Phil! That sounds pretty likely, later guitar models weren’t built in Germany and West Germany ceased to exist in 1990 anyway. I’ll ask if Service has any further info

A lot of the Hohner/Contesss guitars made by Framus are 12 strings which I guess some of the other European and Asian factories Hohner used couldn’t make. You can always tell the Framus guitars by the crazy bridge shape.
