Help identifying a guitar from an estate sale

Hey yall,

I saw that folks here were providing information on serial numbers and was hoping you could help me find some information on a guitar. The guitar looks similar to the Hohner Hg-430 Lp-s, with a few differences, mainly the pickups were silver soap bars rather than 2 single coils. The serial is H 06019, any information you can provide would be fantastic. Thank you!

We don’t have any information pertaining to that particular serial number, but here’s the available specs for the series your guitar belongs to. According to the Service Department it was built in 1977:

Mahogany body, neck and headpiece, fully bound. Bolt on neck. Rosewood fingerboard, perloid markers. Tune-o-matic style bridge. Stop tail piece. Gold plated hardware. Scale 24 3/4". Deluxe humbuckers with adjustable posts. Individual volume and tone controls for each pick up. Ebony black, tobacco sunburst, cherry sunburst, natural grain maple; made in Japan by Hohner UK

Thank you so much for sharing this information!

The serial number is a similar format to a guitar posted here a few days ago. That also had a Samick “Inspected by” sticker which meant it was probably Korean made in the early 1980s, before Hohner started using Cort to make guitars.
