Hohner Arbor Series Les Paul

Hi guys. Looking for information on this Hohner Arbor Series single cut. Specifically the humbuckers and whether they are the stock ones. Any other information very welcome

Many thanks

They are the original pickups - two lugs on one side, one lug on the other side; seperate metal backplate; small holes next to the inner and outer polepieces.

Cool cheers. Looking forward to seeing how they sound. They look a bit like Super Distortions with the hex pole pieces

Hi Jim,
Phil is a mine of information as usual.
I’ll check with the Service Dept. to see if they have any other info for you
Steve

The Service Dept. needs the exact model designation to be able to order the serial number correctly. Can you provide this?

No all I have is the serial number C207688. Unless is somewhere else on the guitar. I’m mainly looking for the year of manufacture

Oh, I had assumed the number E709201 on the name plate was the serial number. I’ll ask again to see if they can determine the year of manufacture from the number you gave above, C207688.

And indeed they sent me the following for that serial no.:

Your guitar was built in 1992, probably in Korea or Indonesia. Do these specs appear to fit? They seem to be right except for the gold finish on the humbuckers.

  • Les Paul copy
  • Two humbuckers (gold finish)
  • 3‑way toggle switch
  • Controls: volume/volume/tone/tone
  • Tune‑o‑matic style bridge (chrome)
  • 22 frets
  • High‑gloss black finish
  • UK only

Hope that helps,

cheers
Steve

Yes. Sorry my bad

I have two Hohners! Yes that’s the one. The other one would be helpful as well if you have time. It’s a JT-60 “JAZZMASTER” style.

Appreciate it

Do you have a serial number for that one?
