I have just brought a Hohner Chordomonica designed by the late Cham-Ber-Huang.
Made from the 1960s discontinued early 1980s there were two models chordomonicas 1 10 hole one push button and the 11 12 hole with two buttons .keys of C E F G A
The wooden combe is split in three but all the reeds and valves are ok .
A couple of photos before and after disasembly.
enjoy your Chordomonica!
Wow, don’t see many of those any more! Cham-Ber Huang was a cool guy and great player who came up with a bunch of highly original ideas for Hohner USA before starting his own company in the mid 1980s. Do you intend to restore this?
Thanks for the reply .
After sticking the comb it broke again during assembly so sent it of to a reputable repair man here in France , So hope to be able to play it very soon .Have seen one more on E bay fr for 30euros
which seems to be the going price . I would like to find the song book which was sold with this harmonica also written by Cham-Ber-Huang but sadly out of print.
Great, hope that it’s playable. Good luck with finding the songbook. You may want to try asking German Harmonica & Accordion Museum curator Martin Häffner if he has a copy and can maybe send you it in digital form: harmonika-museum@t-online.de
If you tell him I suggested contacting him that may help
Steve

Hi, I’m interested in buying the chordomonica.
This was one of the great Cham Ber Huang’s ingenious inventions, patented in 1968, but was deleted from the Hohner catalogue many years ago. If you want to get hold of one, I imagine that Ebay would be your best bet.
Oh, sorry! I see you’re responding to Alibon’s offer. Go for it!
Hi Steve, I have found one on facebook but not one in as good a condition. I hope the chap gets back to me.
Good luck, hope it works out!°
