Hohner harmonica age question

Hello! I am trying to determine approx how old my grandfather’s harmonica I found whilst cleaning the other day. No Star of David as you can see from the photo but I’m not sure what else could help identify the age, any idea?

These models have been in production since 1923, but judging by label on the inside of the box, yours looks as if it could date from the 1970s or even 80s. But as these instruments don’t have serial numbers, it’s not possible to be more specific.

I have exactly the same model but his box is blue and is not marked liebling but only HOHNER BAND.

The Man who gave it to me says probably Before or just after second World War.

Would very appreciate comments about this harmo.

Hi Michel

It would help if you could post a photo. I suspect that over the years there will have been several different instruments sold under the name Hohner Band. My list mentions one from 1925, but describes it as a Piccolo Richter harmonica, which is quite different to this type.

Hi Steve
Suppose that you have read my photos on the preceding subject so I had your comments.
Tis again and good weekend.
