Hi, I am looking for some help locating a spare toggle switch knob for my L75 Les Paul copy. The ones I previously purchased were not Hohner specific so did not fit. Thanks.
I don’t know where you are so can’t recommend specific sellers, but I’d say you need to be looking for specifically metric parts. Gibson compatible ones will be Imperial sizes.
Thanks Phil. I’m trying to purchase online but that’s an interesting point you make regarding the sizing. How do I work the size out or is the generic sizes for Hohner? Thanks.
You will presumably need to seek out a generic part, as Hohner no longer stocks spares. When comparing imperial with metric sizes, 1 inch = 2.54cm.
It still matters where you are, even if purchasing online, otherwise you end up paying ÂŁ20 to have a ÂŁ5 part sent.
I don’t know the specific sizes but the important thing is that Korean manufacturers used Metric threads and Gibson used Imperial threads (and everything else). So if you buy a Gibson compatible part, it usually won’t fit a Hohner.
I think you’ll get better answers to this particular question from the “Hohner Guitars” Facebook group which has a number of people who have rebuilt or modified Hohners.
I’m in Ireland and thanks very much for the advice guys.
I’ll check out the Facebook groups.
