The 900 series guitars were introduced in the second half of 1979 - they’re not in the June 1979 price list but they are in the 1980 price list. All the 900 series guitars I’m aware of have a 5 digit serial number starting 9 or 0. I only know of one 900 series guitar with a date stamp on the label and that’s December 1979 with a serial number starting 9.
So it seems reasonable to assume that a 900 series with a serial number starting 9 was made in 1979.
