Hello, I’m a big fan of the Hohner acoustic guitars and have had several great guitars over the years. I just acquired an HW 300G - TB acoustic guitar. The serial number is 0007412458. The guitar used to be green and is know back to nature. It has a beautiful solid mahogany top, back and sides and really has a great voice. I’m hoping someone on the forum will be able to date the guitar based on the above serial number.
Thanks. My guitar was definitely more green than blue. I wonder how many people were put off by this color? More chance of success as a pure mahogany guitar.
We could only find the general time frame. These guitars were manufactured in the mid-1990s. Here the available specs for this series, though I’m puzzled that they state both “Enclosed tuning machines” and “Open machine heads”. Maybe some models had one system and some the other,
cheers
Steve
