I just aquired a Hohner HW220 and am looking for info on it, serial # 2G94105250
Any help would be really appreciated. Im very pleasantly surprised at the tone of this guitar, all ready to set it up
According to Ciro Lenti at Hohner Service, these guitars were built from the mid-1990s onwards. He says he doesn’t have any info for the number you quoted and only has the following general specs:
-6-string acoustic
-dreadnought-size body
-mahogany back, sides and neck
-spruce top
-rosewood fingerboard,
-20 frets
-open tuning machines
-adjustable tension rod

Thanks Steve. I put #10 strings on it, a very slight neck adjustment and some #0000 on the neck. It really has a nice tone and feel. I certainly like the feel as much or more than anything I’ve played up to the 300 or so price range.
