Good afternoon, I have a Hohner President alto saxophone. On the back it has the name of the brand inscribed, plus the serial number: 15742.
I would like to know if someone could help me to date it.

It’s been a very long time since Hohner marketed saxophones. In fact it’s been so long that I never even knew that they once did. I’ll ask the Service Dept. and the Museum if they have any information and get back to you.

The Service Dept. says that Hohner President saxophones were marketed from the 1960s - 70s, but no record of the serial numbers exists, so it isn’t possible to be more specific.
