Have you run out of breath or become over-inflated while playing a tune? If you’re beginning to do either, then when you have notes in the other direction, let air go through your nose to neutralize your lungs. Example: Swanee River: air runs out about half way through the second measure. Then, while playing “river”, inhale through the nose at the same time you play :-“ri”.

Cool stuff Jack. I have come to call this the “Nose Push” and it is essential to styles where keeping a continuous rhythm is required. Very good suggestion!!! Joe Filisko
