My niece found this at a thirft store. Im unfamiliar with this type as all of my harmonicas are Marine Bands from the 1980s and 1990s. Is this a more recent model or older?

My guess would be that this instrument is considerably older than your Marine Bands. The red packaging is quite different from that used from the late 1960s onwards. The case with the double portrait was first introduced in 1923, but at that time the box was green. The red box probably dates from somewhere between the 1930s and 1950s, so this harmonica could easily be pre-war.
