Hello
My late father owned the accordion in the image. How can I locate its model details as I wish to secure a certificate of authenticity for it.
Thank you.
Hello

Thank you.
I’ll send the photo to the accordion service department and see what they say. For many models we offer the service below, I will ask if this applies to your instrument:
For a flat fee of EUR 40.00 we can conduct an archive search to determine the age of your accordion, for which we will need the model designation and serial number.
This will enable us to find out the delivery date (Please note that for models produced between 1930 and 1987 you will receive the delivery date and shipping location, after 1987 the production month only).
The delivery dates will be sent as a certificate.
If you are interested, you can pay the fee of EUR 40,00 to our paypal-account paypal@hohner.de. Please also send us your complete postal address.
As soon as we receive the fee, we will select the data and send the certificate by post to the address given.
Hohner Accordion Service says your late father’s instrument is a single row Vienna (Wiener) diatonic buttonkey accordion. The model is Goldbrand 1140, it was produced from the early 1950s until 1998. These instruments have no serial numbers, so it’s not possible to date them exactly and no certificate as I described above can therefore be issued for them. I hope that’s a help!
